  1. Bravo Inigo!

    Keep up the good work!

  9. Bruno Dalla-Riva

    Bonjour Inigo,

Nous nous sommes croisés cette année sur Poitiers ou je suis étudiant du DU avec Laurent Bosquet. (Bruno, former rugby pro and shaven head guy, you asked me if we had not meet before, don’t know if you remember)

Anyway, just wanted to thank you for your sharing some of your knowledge with us. About to finalize the DU course, I have just integrated a private performance evaluation structure based out of Aix en Provence that includes 3 of your peer scientists (physiologists and sports biomechanics PhDs) specializing in endurance sport performance athletes. To complete the DU, I’am about to submit a review presenting the actual knowledge and scientific research done in the field of detraining and recovery with in elite rugby union players.

Do you think I could send you the final work for you to review and let me know your thoughts about its contents?

All the best Inigo for your future endeavor and hope we can meet again.

    Amitiés,
    Bruno Dalla-Riva

  13. Hi Inigo

Have you considered the use of Salivary Assays in your research to monitor performance biomarkers

I attend many conferences and the technology seems to be growing significantly in popularity

  16. Pardon pour les fautes d’orthographie.

    February 13, 2012
  17. Bonjour Ciprian. Je ne suis pas au courant d’aucune méthode de plannification spécifique pour le “bras de fer”, mais j’imagine que les méthodes utilisées pour d’autres sports de force-puissance comme l’haltérophilie devraient être aussi valables pour votre spécialité

  21. Hi Mike, I just had a look at this and it does sound like pseudo-scientific mumbo jumbo; my guess is that this just another major rip-off.

  22. Juha

Hi! I’m interested in your new book endurance training, science and practice.. I assume it’s also published in english ´cos you have also the table of contents written as so. Only concern is that in Finland there’s no english version available, only spanish, and there’s no selection on your website with language selection?

    November 30, 2012
  23. Hi Juha. The book is available ONLY in English. There is no Spanish version: http://www.inigomujika.com/en/books/endurance-training-science-and-practice
You can change the language of the blog between Spanish and English by clicking in the top right corner of the site.

Thanks! Yes, that I noticed that language can be changed between spanish and english on the sites but thought really odd that on http://www.booky.fi your book was informed to be written in spanish… Well, anyway it seems that your book is a must for me so I´ll order it from your sites.

  25. Hi Juha. I got your order and the book will be posted tomorrow. Thank you.

  26. Hey Inigo
So if I had known you had this great book I would have asked to buy it while I was in Vitoria working with you! We are still in Barcelona, just one day of competition left and then most of us will return to the US. Thanks again for all your great help while in Vitoria. I will definitely return again to your beautiful area of Spain.
    Thanks

  31. Marielle

    Dear Mujika,

I am sport physiotherapist MS student in the Netherlands. I wrote a review about waterpolo and performance testing. I was wandering if it’s possible to get the CD/audio from the WIST. I want to use it for mine implementationproject by colleages.

    Thank you for so far.

    Greetings,

    Mariëlle Zonneveld

  32. Dear Mariëlle, the WIST was produced and commercialised by the Australian Sports Commission, but I have no idea if they still do. You can find some information about it in page 20 of this document: https://secure.ausport.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0019/186121/AusportAug2006.pdf

  35. David

    Hello,

My name is David and I’m doing a directed studies course based on your book “Tapering and Peaking for Optimal Performance”, but with an emphasis on tapering for soccer. I’m trying to compile information from various coaches on how they taper for soccer and was wondering if you still have access to training diaries from your time at Athletic Bilbao. Any sort of information or guidance would be much appreciated.

    Regards,

    David

  36. martijn ter horst

    Hello Mister Mujika,
my name is Martijn ter Horst and i give you a short introduction of myself. I am a musculo-skeletal therapist and i work since 2008 for the local waterpolo club. After doing a lot of research about testing for fysical aspects of the game, my eyes felt on the WIST test. I made the trainer-coaches at the club aware of this test and they responded very enthusiastic!
However i don t have the cd for this test and i wonder if you could help me to get one so we all can benefit in the club?

    With kind regards,
    Martijn ter Horst

  38. Mike botek

    Hello Mr. Mujika,

My name is Michal Botek, and more than 10 years I have been focusing on Application Heart Rate Variability into athletics training as a researcher /ph.d./ in order to avoid fatigue and improve performance. What is our opinion on this tool in endurace field? Do you use it as well?

    Thanks for reply.

    Best regards,

    Mike

    July 6, 2015
  39. Hello Mike. I am not convinced of the practical value of heart rate variability for training modulation in endurance sports, so I don’t use it. Nevertheless, I have colleagues who use it and consider it a great tool.

  40. Hola Lionel.
