Stats from Inigo Mujika´s blogOne year ago, on March 29, 2010 this blog took its first steps with a post entitled "The keys to Eneko Llanos' victory at Abu Dhabi Triathlon " (in Spanish). In this time I have published 92 posts related with sports physiology, training, performance and some other related topics.

The blog has received 14,236 single visits, entering a total of 87,101 pages, with an average of 6.12 pages per visit. The rebound rate (percentage of visitors entering a blog page then exiting without continuing to surf) has been just 7.83%, a very low percentage that, along with the number of page views per visit, indicates that those who enter the blog find the contents sufficiently interesting to keep surfing thorugh it and read several posts. This number is even more valuable when noting that half the blog visitors had never entered it before.

The blog features most posts in both Spanish and English, and it receives similar attention from English speaking and Spanish speaking readers (42% and 43% of the visits, respectively). Readers from 101 countries have entered the blog, with a prevalence of visitors from Spain (42%), United States of America (12%), United Kingdom (10%) and Australia (6.3%); but people from places like Sudan, Vietnam, Netherlands Antilles, Mauritius Island, Fidji or Mongolia have also visited.

The day the blog received the most visitors was last January 10, with a total of 230 individual visitors. The day before, I had published two posts: one entitled "Power Balance bracelets: a hoax of global dimension", and another one reproducing an interview about nutrition and hydration for Barcelona's Mediterrani Sports Club. The three most popular posts were the English version of the former, read 1,601 times, "Eneko Llanos's four fantastic months", read by 1,186, and "Peaking at the right time - An integrated programme for athletes", read by 1,183. "Pulseras Power Balance: un engaño de dimensión global" (read by 1,174) and "Los cuatro meses fantásticos de Eneko Llanos" (read 971 times) were the most read publications in Spanish.

A few days before setting up the blog, I started to publish material in Twitter. So far, I have published 538 updates in Basque and Spanish from @inigomujika, read by 234 Basque and Spanish speaking followers. I have also published 400 tweets for 206 followers from my English account @inigomujika_en. The links published in Twitter have brought to the blog 1,166 visits, 8% of the total number.

I also have a Facebook account (http://www.facebook.com/inigo.mujika), but I must admit that it is only used to publish references to the blog publications. 6.4% of the blog visits arrive from that social network.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the blog designer and blogmaster Roberto Míguez (http://www.erremedia.com) for his invaluable help in this project, to USP Araba Sport Clinic, and of course all the readers throught these past 12 months. Your interest and support encourage me to keep on blogging!
